in 2022 i was appointed to the transportation committee overseeing all road maintenance, reconstruction, and transportation topics in anoka county. i was very happy to received this appointment as i will be have better influence to bring projects to my district. 

Below are some of the projects that we are working on for 2022 and beyond. 

 

Highway 65 reconstruction:

a big update to highway 65 has been needed for decades. the focus in anoka county for the last 10 years has been securing funding for highway 10. Now that we have successfully raised $140M and that project will begin this summer, we are focused on highway 65.

there is an incredible amount of support now for getting this project funded and finished. in total, we will need $165M. we are working on getting this funding from the state and federal governments. the reconstruction of highway 65 will be from 97th to 117th with overpasses and other improvements. timing of this project depends on funding but we already have secured $23M.
